In this thesis, the present-day status and characteristics of transformer station simulation and training system in our country are presented at first. Secondly, the 500kv transformer stations in Suzhou Grid are investigated. Then based on the requirements of the operation and management persons, the overall design scheme of 500kv transformer station simulation and training system in Suzhou Grid is put forward. The scheme, which is presented by the thesis, is been passed the examination of the Suzhou Electric Power Corporation, and put into practice.This design uses a database-centered structure, through the use of map-mode database simulation supporting platform, three-dimensional virtual scene and modular design of a typical station configuration tools, the introduction of real-time data of the substation-wide simulation of working conditions and long-range training and other advanced technologies and design concepts to improve the fidelity of the simulation system, easy maintenance, scalability and flexibility of simulation training.This system assembles power grid simulation technology, centralized control station and substation simulation technology, Web technology, computer graphics technology, communications technology, database technology, multimedia three-dimensional animation technology, it is an open distributed system. Not only it can be used for substation and integrated automation stations to run staff training, but also can be used for centralized control and monitoring stations staff training, and further more, it can also be used for substation integrated and automation station operating staffs, centralized control station monitor staffs' joint training, realizing the entire run of the simulation training of the production process. The substation based on the 3D virtual device technology is visual, vivid and living, the operation and inspection can be completed in a three-dimensional solid model field. Based on emilation, continue to develop content-rich web-based multimedia distance education and training system software to meet the multi-media distance learning mode of training to achieve online distance learning and assessment functions and the "decentralized training, centralized assessing" training conception.
