The technology of acoustic array detection is widely used in the field of military and civilian such as low-altitude defense, underwater target detection and identification, environmental noise assessment, diagnosis of mechanical failure and so on. In view of the problem in current acoustic array detection such as single function, long development period, high development cost and so on, this paper, combined with the actual demand of the project, has a further study on the technology of acoustic array detection and establishes the simulation test system of acoustic detection to complete the function simulation of the passive detection, self-localization of underwater sensors network base station. Thus, it can provide the general system test platform for acoustic detection.This paper firstly introduces the principle and methods of acoustic array detection and researches the method of time delay estimation. In view of the location in complicated environment, a method of variable adaptive algorithm time delay estimation is proposed. The virtual experiment results show that this algorithm has a higher anti-noise performance and lower stead-state maladjustment. Then, a simulation test system was primarily established, and the overall design of the experiment system ,the software-hardware integrated development and system passive localization, the design of base station self-localization were completed; in order to accomplish the passive localization function of simulation system, a time delay localization principle which research for five-elements cross array localization model is introduced, and combined with the requirement of underwater sensor array object detection, an arbitrary multi-elements array localization model which has the total spatial domain localization ability is proposed to research the localization algorithm and analysis the localization precision. At last, this paper described the virtual process and completed the amplitude-phase calibration of the sensor array. A passive localization test using sensor array in the indoor environment was conducted, of which the result showed that the system was available.The acoustic sensor array detection simulation system, uses the system construction based on PC structure and modularized design scheme, has an advantage of convenient extension and low cost, which can be widely used in the complicated environment such as sky, ground and underwater to verify and simulate the object detection and identification.
