Power system simulation is an important method of power system analysis.With the rapid development of the power system,we need the higher requirement in running management,safety supervisal and error analysis of the power system.Meanwhile,we also need more efficient training and study to guarantee a long time,safe and stable running. Simulating a large scale thermal generator protection system and operating with a man machine interface can redisplay the error phenomenon and results of protection on a computer, so as to analyze and train operators.This thesis uses a graphic modeling simulation environment on which the modeling is built up through configuration.Then,this thesis builds up an example simulation system.Its object is the protection system of generator and main transformer of Xinfeng 300MW electric power station.The results of simulation demonstrate the functions of the simulation system.
