The Design And Implementation Of Project Management System Based On Workflow Technology

Innovative talent is in great demand in the society due to the rapid development of economics and massification of higher education in China.In order to promote the cultivation of innovation talent in universities, the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance decided to carry out the plan named "The College Undergraduate Teaching Quality and Teaching Reform Project" at the beginning of 2007.The important component of the project is "The Undergraduate Innovative Experiment Program".The program proposes that the students carry out comprehensive, designing and innovative researches to further nurture their creativity spirit and practical competence and enhance their employment competitiveness and research capability with the purpose of meeting the needs of the economic social development.The participated students of the program independently design, manage and complete their own items under supervision of their instructors.The students of the same team do the research-oriented learning in the process of the item.This paper analyzes that the theoretical basis for research-oriented learning and the current research situation and establishes the project management system under the guidance of the designing theory of the teaching system and the related learning theories.Meanwhile, the author draws the workflow and component technologies into the project management system based on a great deal of theoretical research and practical work.The business workflow model, system workflow model and the control center are designed by using the workflow technology to abstract the actual workflow.The project management system is developed based on the above models and the component technology.With the key aim of managing the application of items and the research-oriented learning of the students during the development processes, the system realizes the application and development management of the program.The research-oriented learning of the students in the system is carried out with no restriction of time or space but a wide choice of item supervisors and a great deal of learning resources, so the research-oriented learning obtains the best support from the system.The system is a practical research-oriented learning management system which can greatly improve the freedom and efficiency of the research-oriented learning.
