Research On The Interface Design Of Mobile Phone Video App Based On User Mental Model

According to statistics,the network audio-visual products of the access flow in the whole Internet data accounted for more than 90%,in addition to instant communication products,has been the most popular Internet products.Compared with PC,the emergence of mobile phone video apps has brought users a more convenient movie-watching experience.But at present,most similar products on the market have the problem of homogeneity,lack of personalized user needs to meet.Therefore,this paper conducts user demand analysis and interface design research under the guidance of intellectual model theory,and tries to explore a set of interface design strategies for mobile video App guided by user mental model.Firstly,this paper makes a basic research on mental model theory and application knowledge of mental model in interface design,and summarizes the construction method of user mental model and application strategy in interface design,laying a theoretical foundation for design practice.Secondly,in the analysis stage of design and research,the competitive products of existing mainstream mobile phone video apps on the market are analyzed.Meanwhile,from the perspective of user research,the target needs of users are deeply explored and the user ideal mental model of mobile phone video apps is constructed.By summarizing the above research results,the design strategy that is consistent with the user's mental model is proposed to provide theoretical guidance for the subsequent design practice.Then,through design practice,the path of searching and obtaining videos in mobile phone video App is taken as the main object of study.By studying the functions of collection,subscription and following in existing products,the customized function to help users obtain videos is created.Based on users' ideal mental model and design strategy,targeted design scheme is proposed,and the application principle of mental model in interface design is followed to design an interface matching the mental model of users of mobile phone video App,so as to improve users' ease of use and pleasure in the operation interface.Finally,the experimental results are obtained,and the test results of the interface before and after optimization are compared.Verify the usability of mobile video App interface design based on user mental model,and verify whether the designer model matches the user's ideal mental model.The effectiveness of this optimization design is verified by experimental data,which expands the application research field of mental model theory in interface design and provides reference for the design optimization research of mobile video App interface.
