We can acquire a 360 degree in horizontal and more than 180 degree in vertical visual angle image only once by using omni-directional vision sensor.So it will be used in practice more and more.Conventional image sensor is make up of traditional camera lens,it only observe a few target in a small visual angle. Making use of the principium of refraction and reflection,omni-directional vision sensor is able to receive almost the whole spherical image.Omni-directional vision sensor is an active field,and it has been gradually applied to robot navigation,stars explorer,video surveillance,fire disaster,virtual reality,and many other fields.Some special occasions,such as a high definition image is required,we must use of high-resolution CCD sensor,shooting high-speed targets need to shorten the exposure time,and increase frame rate.The issue is image processor is the increasingly high demand and conventional processors don't meet the requirements of real-time processing.When collected,stored,computed and displayed the high-resolution panoramic image,the real-time is a worst problem.In order to solve this problem, in this paper,by using Avalon Switch Bus,connect Flash,SRAM slave component and two DMA master components.Both DMA master components are designed to capture and display the image.So,a panoramic image processing platform is completed.The experiment result shows that the processing system is able to real-time collect,store,unwrapping and display the panoramic image which resolution is 2048*2048 pixel 15fps and Camera Link interface video signal.Besides,the system can display cylindrical picture by resolution is 1024*768.
