This paper is based on the application and study on the real time video and image recognition system applied on the mini type unmanned airplane.It discusses the hardware system and software arithmetic,which are used on the collection,management and recognition of the real time video and image.We did some experiments in order to prove the DSP's perfect performance on the image's disposing and recognition in which we used several different methods,which was used to dispose and recognize real time image,on the DSP platform.According to the demand of the real time image disposing,we designed the hardware project of the recognition system,which had the characteristic on real-time,flexibility, portable and so on.Every component is totally independent both on configuration and function,which improves the flexibility and benefits the upgrade of the system.This topic must realize is based on fixed-point DSP the chip TMS320C6203 video frequency image gathering and the processing system,its main function is in the simulated video signal which outputs from the CCD camera the extraction static state image,the digitized evacuation enters the processor to make the successor imagery processing,in a short time lets flight vehicle make the feedback,achieves the navigation the goal.The system principle of work is the simulation image signal which outputs the CCD camera carries on after the image gathering module a/d conversion(A/D),will simulate the image signal to transform the digital image signal,the primitive digital image data will pass through the FPGA image pretreatment procedure after the FPGA control to save to twin port memory(DPRAM) in temporarily stores;DSP will take out the FPGA processing from now on image data from DPRAM,then will carry on core algorithm processing.DSP will take out the FPGA processing from now on image data from DPRAM,then will carry on core algorithm processing.The final output digital signal gives the control unit.
