With rapid development of automatic control and network techniques, network-based remote monitoring is becoming an investigating hotspot in the elevator industry. At the same time as the development of wireless communication technology, remote wireless monitoring technology is applied more and more widely in recent years. A variety of wireless detection equipment is entering various industrial enterprises, and has been widely used.In this paper, by analyzing the elevator remote system for research at home and abroad, analyzing and comparing a variety of monitoring methods on the currents, combined with the traditional model of remote monitoring system, the elevator remote monitoring system program based on GPRS is proposed. Compared with other monitoring systems, this system to solve the main problem is the system's versatility, lower costs, the scope of monitoring, and construction period of the system and so on. The system in this paper is mainly composed of three parts: monitoring terminal, GPRS network, the remote server. Monitoring terminal collect work data and fault information of elevator and then spread to the remote server. PC-users can use the network access server through the Internet to achieve the purpose of monitoring. At the same time when the fault occurred, the system will automatically send the fault information to the phone of the person in charge to solve the problem of real-time alarms and blindness of trouble clearing. This article is divided into six chapters to introduce the system. The first chapter introduces the origin of the subject, research status at home and abroad, and the issues to be addressed in this article. The second chapter is a general overview of the system, and some design thinking in design process. Chapter III introduces the single-chip technology, Short-range communication technology, and GPRS technologies and principles, and compared with other data transmission and given the advantages of the elevator remote monitoring system based on GPRS. Chapter IV detailedly discusses the hardware design of the detection terminal, including the design and realization of the Sedan-top Data Collector and control cabinet transmission device. Chapter V introduces the detection terminal software design, and a brief account of some server-side software design, given the realization of the interface. Finally, this text introduces characteristic of the system, and gives prospect of the next. This article dedicated to research on the elevator remote monitoring system. The system is combined with a traditional computer technology, modern computer network technology, GPRS mobile network technology, Short-range communication technology, and single-chip technology. It is characterized by user-friendly, low cost, easy installation and maintenance convenience, and good real-time, high reliability and low operating costs, ease of development and expansion of the second and so on.
