The railway transport is the main form of transport in iron and steel factory. It is necessary to assess the available capacity of the rail transportation to find the problems to lift that in rail transportation system optimization. By means of the analysis and contrast above the conventional methods to calculate capacity of the rail transportation, the paper proposes to optimize railway transport of iron and steel factory by computer emulation, which provides a scientific research method for optimization of rail transport organization in-plant, layout scheme of rail transportation system and appropriate allocation of the transportation device.This paper analyzes and summarizes the characteristics of the railway transport system based on the queuing theory and elaborates index to judge the capacity of the rail transportation as the theoretical principle to railway transport simulation optimization. In the process of implementing railway transport simulation system, this paper designs the overall structure of the rail transport simulation system, divides it into various sub-system modules, and designs the various functions of the system. This paper realizes the simulation of transport processes through creating the logical process and its correlation with the simulation shown. Secondly, this paper studies the scheduling strategy of railway transport, and realizes it in the simulation scheduling model. Thirdly, Aiming at the deadlock of the simulation systems this paper analyses the cause of the phenomenon, to put forward a dynamic chain model of booking section and described the model rules so that the issue of deadlock in the simulation system can be better solute. Furthermore, in the optimization of the transport system, finally, taking a throat area in an iron and steel factory for example, the paper creates a rail transport simulation system. Based on the indicators of statistical information from this system, this paper brings forward the optimization measures on, and also verifies the feasibility and engineering practicality of the above theories and method.
