Traffic problems is the important issues of common concern, affect people's daily lives and socio-economic development increasingly. Because the management system, asynchronous planning and construction, and uncoordinated design exists for a long time, we have constructed a large number of heterogeneous transport system, which makes the transport systems difficult to achieve information sharing, cannot resolve the current traffic problems effectively. Therefore, there is a need for building traffic information sharing platform, we can integrate the transport subsystem effectively to give full play to their functions, realize traffic information sharing and make the entire transport system operate optimally.Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) is an optimal solution for heterogeneous systems integration and application systems integration. It can make full use of existing resources to achieve cross-platform integration, increase reuse of function components to reduce development costs, accelerate deployment of new applications, reduce implementation risks and promote constant flow optimization.This paper attempts to introduce the concept of SOA architecture to the field of traffic information sharing, brings forward new distributed information sharing platform structure scheme based on service oriented architecture. This paper begins with the actuality investigation of traffic information construction, and then analyzes existing problems of information sharing. After researching on SOA and related technologies, making information sharing platform system analysis, we put forward the design for distributed traffic information sharing platform combining with user needs and functional requirements. This paper designs traffic information sharing platform which has seven layer architecture based on SOA with reusability, system loosely coupled functions, and conducts a detailed analysis to each level of the platform. Finally, we use the 863 projects which is designed and realized by SOA to verify the program proposed in this paper, and demonstrates its feasibility abundantly.
