Machine vision technology is used widely in many kinds of industries because of its high-speed, high precision, such as automobiles, machinery processing, electronics, packaging, food industry. The subject researches the key techniques of the intelligent examining machine based on machine vision. The whole system which is based on machinery, electronics, software, image processing and integrated device supporting coordination of work, achieves the testing of the failure injection with useless things. In this paper, it doses the following research work against the key techniques that this testing system involved:⑴It designed the acquisition equipment and the lighting equipment, according to the characteristics that machine vision technology applied to industrial testing: First, the choices of the acquisition equipment which includes the choice of industrial Camera, image acquisition card and lens; Second, the design of light and lighting based on the characteristics of useless things detection, this project uses background lighting.⑵It researches the detection algorithm against the useless things in injection. The subject uses two methods for experiments, threshold segmentation and edge detection. Threshold segmentation does the image processing based on the value of the gradient; edge detection does the image processing by sobel, log and prewitt operators. After a large number of experiments, experimental results show that both of the two methods can detect the useless things in the injection.⑶It analysis the factors that affect the accuracy of the system, and proves some of the factors such as the changes of the light intensity in the outside world, the changes of brightness of lighting system and the noise outside that affecting results by experiments, which can help improve the system faster.⑷It designs the detection system interface by VC + +. In the software scheduling, it uses modular to manage. It introduces the function of each module, and designs the structure of the software programming.
