Design And Implementation Of The Information Appliance's Home Gateway Based On CORBA

With the rapid popularization of Internet and the emergence of a variety of information appliances,a new control and management platform is needed in our home life.In this platform,computers,audios, videos and other home appliances should be connected together with their automatic subsystem implement resource sharing and management.The intellectual home networking is the direction of development of the home networking,and the home gateway is the core of the information appliances network,so the research of the intellectual home gateway has very important theoretical and practical significance.Firstly,introduced the function,the features and the research status of the home gateway.Summarized the structure of the CORBA system and its complementary to web services.The technology of Web and Multi-Agent system is also mentioned in this thesis.Secondly,applyed the programe interfaces and models which were provided by the CORBA in the information appliance networking.To combine with web services and Multi-Agent system and create a new model of home gateway based on Web_CORBA and Multi-Agent system. The web technology and the CORBA are combined in this model to construct a new structure.And it takes great advantage of Web service at client side and the great use of CORBA at server side.Choose Multi-Agent technology,the system can make the devices and the operation resouces into kinds of agents.With the coordination and cooperation between agents,the home networking can provide excellent services to the customers.Finally,the paper simulates a temperature control system based on the model mentioned above.This system which based on computer network provides friendly interface,and it also has excellent compatibility and expansibility.The introduction of Multi-Agent technology applyed some methods which were used in the artificial intelligence in the home networking and it brings new ideas to analysis and solve the problems in this field.
