With the development of computers and information etc. modern science and technology, obvious progress of modern measurement technologies such as machine vision etc. is happening. The measurement approaches that are based on optics and vision are being accepted in reverse engineering technology field due to its non-contact and nondestructive feature. These technologies are being used in inspection of manufacturing or machining, antique protection, medical system and so on. The research motivation of the thesis is based on above technology background. Contributions of the thesis include the following:1. For getting more reconstruction information, Gray Code+Phase Shifting method was used. System calibration method and some key problems were discussed in detail.2. Three-dimensional measurement testing bed was established and the software with the functions of image acquisition, system calibration, image processing and point clouds displaying developed. From the presented software package, the calibration can be done automatically, also, the measurement result can be tracked real-time.3. For improving measurement precision, an optimal algorithm for image processing was presented, and some point cloud post-processing function was added into the package.4. Some objects with different surface structure were measured from the testing bed, the effectiveness of the presented system are demonstrated by the successful results. The accuracy analysis is given.The work of this thesis improved the coded structured-light 3D measurement system and provided a complete experimental bed for the future work..
