Embedded Video Capture System Design Based On CCD

VSS (Video Surveillance System) is widely used with intuitive, convenient and content-rich information. Video Surveillance System is applied from security system to the intelligent home system and even the space exploration. With implement of 3G telecom network, "Ping An City" program carried into execution, Wide Band speed up, video surveillance specification introduced, VSS is in transition period from current numerical control simulation system & digital system mixed to digital system.Aiming at the status of video surveillance currently, this design exploits the embedded video monitoring system with high level of integration, low power and low-cost, which based on ARM-Linux operating system. The previous video capture modules of this system adopt the CCD image sensor that is currently extensive use of security system, to expand the applicability of the design. Further more, system has a unified common modules and highly scalable bacause of the embedded small-scale hardware platforms and the open development of source code of Linux operating system. So this design also makes extensive use of the intelligent home, intelligent machines, automobiles, and other visual monitoring of the direction of digital video.At the first, this paper analysised the video surveillance system, research background and the development trend. In view of the status of video surveillance systems, the study meaning and purpose come out later. the design discussed, in detail, embedded video monitor based on advanced embedded platform ARM9S3C2440A, from the bottom of hardware design, including the TVP5150 video conversion chip on the front of the video acquisition module and 7-inch LCD Driver Circuit Design, to transplant and compile of embedded cores, The design of the underlying drivers for Middle-tier system hardware module, How to embed the driver into the kernel.
