Enterprise modeling provides a powerful tool to understand and express an enterprise scientifically and precisely. However, with focusing more on Business Process Management (BPM) and more complicated business data within an enterprise, it becomes a new demand to build a new framework supporting visualized business process management based on enterprise models. This article introduces and discusses a visualized business process management framework, which is based on integrated enterprise models. This framework supports BPM's four main functions, which are the analysis, modeling, executing and monitoring of business processes, and integrates the existing enterprise modeling system. This framework includes three layers: model layer, instance layer and presentation layer, and it contains five major modules: integrated enterprise modeling module, model instantiation module, process monitoring module and performance management module. Integrated enterprise modeling module builds the enterprise model, which is the basis of this framework, and most of the functions have been developed; model instantiation module transform static integrated enterprise models into executable business process instances; then process execution module execute these process instances; process monitoring module and performance management module monitor and manage the execution and performance of these processes. The whole framework is integrated through infrastructural database, and the loose coupling of modules enables the convenient update of this framework. This thesis is divided into five chapters. Chapter I introduces the backgrounds and concepts of enterprise modeling and claims the new demands; Chapter II introduces the visualized business process management framework, which is based on the integrated enterprise model; Chapter III designs the functional modules; Chapter VI introduces the software interface and system development methods; Chapter V concludes the work of the thesis and proposes potential aspects of future research.
