With the rapid development of information technology, a new type of business model -the Virtual Enterprise has got a rapid development and has attracted many researchers' attention. Virtual Enterprise (VE) is a new type of business model, which joint the suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and customers. When the market has a new opportunities, in order to develop the new markets, to deal with other companies and organizations, the enterprises with different resources and advantages form an enterprise alliance, in which they share the information, technology, cost and develop jointly. But because of the rapid development of Virtual Enterprise, just appears in a short time, the theoretical research to Virtual Enterprise Process is also very immature. As a direct product-oriented enterprise cooperation models, one of the core of Virtual Enterprise is the business processes modeling, evaluation and optimization. At the early stage, the workflow technology is mainly promoted by workflow product development companies. Many universities and research institutions have carried out a lot of research, and have made numerous research results. However, to deal with the Virtual Enterprise process is different from sum of the single enterprise processes. The enterprise, with which it deals, is a dynamic, strong self-government in nature, loosely coupled, non-deterministic, heterogeneous enterprise alliance, so the traditional workflow technology for a single enterprise is hard to be applied to Virtual Enterprise. And because of the rapid development of the Virtual Enterprise, just appears in a short time, the theoretical research to Virtual Enterprise Process is also very immature.As one of the key technologies to Virtual Enterprise application research, Virtual Enterprise business process has got the attention of the research institutions and manufacturers. The successful application of Virtual Enterprise business processes will help the chief of the Virtual Enterprise to manage the entire Virtual Enterprise effectively, strengthen the coordination among the business process, thus to ensure the success of Virtual Enterprise. However, Virtual Enterprise business process is different from individual enterprises business process. In Virtual Enterprise we will deal with a number of dynamic, strong self-government, loosely coupled, non-deterministic, heterogeneous Alliance between enterprises object, so the original number of workflow technology is not very suitable under Virtual Enterprise needs. With the rapid development of network technology, as well as the Web Service technology, allows service providers and demand for services between the efficient data communication and exchange is possible, it will be Web Service technology and the combination of flow processing technology in order to support the Virtual Enterprise business processes has become a viable solution.This article does a depth analysis, research on the Virtual Enterprise business process, and presents a WS-BPEL-based Web Service composition method which can be used to implement the construction and integration of Virtual Enterprise business process. And also we introduce a GUI WS-BPEL process modeling tool and plan to achieve a suitable Virtual Enterprise business process management system (VEBPMS) in the future.Up to now, the Virtual Enterprise process technology is still in constant development. In this paper we will focus on the integration of Virtual Enterprise technology and Web Service, in order to implement the modeling and integration of Virtual Enterprise. But there are still many aspects that need urgent solutions, such as the systematic and standardized of some related technology. So at the end of this article after summarizes the results of current research, we point out the shortcomings of the current study and the next step to continue with their research work.
