Panel TV are in mass production, the power supply for panel TV require high efficient, high power density, flat, light weight and high reality. For example, the 42 inch PDP power concussion is about 500W, compare to the normal CRT TV, it is quite different. Normally, the display panel requires a precision power on and power down sequence and the different brands of the panel have some different timing. For a best solution to the TV maker using different brand of the panel, it is necessary to have a flexible design that easily modifies the timing by software. So, there would be good to bring in microprocessor in the power supply board.Recently, the design and research information of the panel TV becoming sensitive, to protect the intellectual property, the designer of the circuit board have to consider some more idea for encryption by hardware and software. There have a way out to have an encryption between the main microprocessor and the one in the power board.High watts power supply design is a high technology subject all the time. This design and research of panel TV application aimed to discuss the solution for big size panel more than 32 inch and cover to 52 inch. To solve the high watts power supply, the best solution is divide the power system into several separated power to power up the different block for plasma panel.There have benefit that the sequence controlled by the microprocessor and could be easily modification of change the program without any hardware job. |
