In this paper, a"man-in-the-onboard-loop"scheme is proposed in order to solve the disadvantages of UAV control method and the UAV pilot training problems. In fact, this scheme is an integration platform about UAV teleoperation and simulation. On the one hand, the platform provides a"real"cabin environment in the control station on the ground by using"teleoperation"virtual reality technology. And the platform gives the controller much enough sense display and interaction feedback to control the UAV on a long distance. On the other hand, the platform also provides simulation flight training function to UAV controller by using its simulation module. The system has some significance to solve the problems of our UAV operation and simulation for the construction of new period information army and UAV civil field.In this paper, the design of UAV teleoperation and simulation system is designed, and the realization of simulation sub-system is analyzed deeply .Firstly, the paper summarizes the research background, significant, status and problems of UAV operation and simulation. Then it systemically illusinates the related technologies about the UAV research projects, and discusses the key technologies such as virtual reality, visual simulation, flight simulation.Secondly, the paper introduces the system general structure design and simulation sub-system function realization. The system provides a high performance price multi-channel UAV simulation solution, by visual driving engine Vega and visual modeling tool Creator, which is based on the structure of ethernet consisted of several PCs. The module functions of UAV simulation sub-system is fulfilled in this paper, such as interactive simulation network communication module, control management module, input equipment module, flight visual simulation module and effect module.Finally, the math model construction of certain UAV on horizontal flying condition is also emphasized. And it uses Matlab and VC mixed programming to realize the simulation by runge kuta algorithm. The composition and function of computer real time graphic simulation instrument system in detail and the programming software GL-Studio are also introduced, and the design method of virtual simulation instrument system and module implementation are provided.The validity of the simulation system is proved by experiment testing. And the UAV motion equation modeling solution module can meet the precision and real time needs of the simulation. The dynamic visual simulation has realistic effect and operation performance of the system can fulfill the needs of design. The basic functions of the system are achieved and the properties can meets the needs of design.
