The traditional missile flight display method is realized by data simulation, But it is neither intuitionistic, nor meet the need of modern weapon system because of its limitation in the real-time control. With the development of virtual reality technology, virtual visualization has become a hot topic. This paper imported virtual reality technology into flight real-time simulation, realized changing the data information to 3D scenes of virtual environment, and make the flight simulation system more realistic.The main contents and results in this paper are shown as following:The paper researched the complicated entity modeling, visual scene designing, system real-time optimizing and realization, some import conceptions of virtual reality modeling are realized.According to the demand of missile flight dynamics and kinematics character, we utilized the MultiGen-Paradigm corporation's modeling software named Creator in the construct of entities and circumstances, and by Creator's terrain module, the large area terrain modeling is received.In the simulation of 3D circumstance, Vega is used to develop the project, on base of Vega software analyze and the rending process, the system's circumstance display, model's driving and control way is carried out.The last part analyzed the key technologies occured in the system's realization. According to the real-time simulate data, finally realized the simulation of the process, from missile launch to finally hit the target. Many special effects, including the simulation of sky, cloud, fog, ocean wave, stern wake and missile flame was build. The system possess the basis characters and can meet the needs of flight simulation for reality and real-time, proposed a new approach for 3D modeling technology, real-time simulation and virtual reality system...
