Study And Implementation Of Distributed Network Management Based On Script In Wireless Ad Hoc Network

A wireless Ad hoc network is a collection of wireless mobile nodes that is self-configured to form a network without any fixed infrastructure. With the development of wireless Ad hoc network, the size of wireless Ad hoc network becomes larger and larger, and then the potential problems of wireless Ad hoc network such as stability and efficiency emerge. Efficient network management of wireless Ad hoc network has a significant effect on the network performance. As is known, constructing an appropriate network management model for wireless Ad hoc network is very helpful. This paper first discusses the architecture of wireless Ad hoc network and develops a real test-bed of wireless Ad hoc network. We propose and develop the clustered and distributed network management system based on script mechanism. This management system has a distributed architecture and can dynamically delegate administrative tasks to cluster heads or mid-managers. .The management cost can be decreased and the management efficiency be improved by the distributed network management architecture in which the script and MIB are jointly used to distribute management tasks from the network manager to mid-managers, so the ability of network management is raised. The real wireless Ad hoc network management system built by our project team is useful for the research of the wireless Ad hoc network management.
