With the constant enlargement of Internet's scale and high growth of user's quantity,the importance that the network measurement is shown especially out day by day. Thepaper choose this important network performance parameter of the bottleneckbandwidth,andviaanalyzingseveral chiefmethods ofmeasuringend-to-endbottleneckbandwidth in recent years, the paper presents the improved approach of measuringend-to-end bottleneck bandwidth based on packet pair. Under OPNET, the emulationresult shows that the approach can not only effectively weaken the influence given bycross-traffic to bandwidth, but also acquire the more accurate value of bandwidth,bearing favorable robust and lesser overhead.
