After analyzed the frame of VXI bus, the system characteristic of radar lead head and software platform, the counter module based on VXI bus was designed used to test the frequency, period etc of the signals. Especially the basic structure, principle of the software and hardware circuit about the module was studied in detail. A measurement and control software, and flow diagram of the counter were designed used LabVIEW.
