The Research On Information Grid Resource Management

Grid is regarded as the third generation of Internet. It is a new computing infrastructure, which integrates the computers of different location into a super computer through Internet. This can achieve the thorough share and collaboration of computing, storing, information, communication resource and so on. Many important problems must be resolved for the design of a information grid, and one of these is how to manage the network resource on need of the requirement of grid application.Firstly, this paper briefly introduces the concept and architecture of grid, then gives a delicate description of the open grid service architecture and web service. And then GT3 which is the development toolkit of gird service is introduced, which is also used in the experiment. Some knowledge of network management is introduced, such as SNMP. On basis of those, the paper works over the communication network resource management under the grid environment, and realizes the network management in the form of grid service on ATM/MPLS broadband communication network. This grid service can obtain some real time status of network resources by reading the MIB of managed devices using SNMP, and it also can configure the network connections on the demand of user, such as TE and LSP. With the software development, a new management method is realized to manage the communication networks policy is proposed in the last section. in the form of grid service. With regard to the experiment system, a improved scheme based on policy in the last section.The experiment results show that the network management grid service realizes that the administrator manages the network through browser of any computer in the network, and the uniform description way and management mode which is used in the grid service , lies a foundation for successfully managing the several different networks at one time in future.
