Research On Spatial Database For Municipal Management System

The digital municipal project is digitization of city municipal management, which aiming to construct a digital municipal management system for municipal department. The foundation of digitization is the organization and management of information. There are plenty of spatial information in the municipal management system, and it contains spatial data difficult to manage by traditional database. It is very important to research a structure and realization mode of spatial database and meet the system requirements according to the spatial information characteristics in the municipal management system.The paper studies the structure at first, and the contents and features of the digital municipal management are researched. Several modes of system structure such as C/S, CORBA, COM/DCOM and J2EE are compared and analyzed, then the distributed structure of the spatial database system for municipal management based on J2EE architecture is proposed. Several common databases such as Access, SOL Server, Oracle, DB2 system are compared with performance, spatial data support, and so on, then the spatial database realization mode based on Oracle Spatial is determined.In this paper, the multi-layer structure and distributed data management technology of J2EE architecture are analyzed, the architecture of spatial database system for municipal management based on J2EE and the constitution of every layer are researched, then the features and advantages of the structure are analyzed. On the basis of the related technology of the spatial database Oracle Spatial, the spatial data model for municipal management is researched, and the corresponding structure of spatial data table is designed, the simulation results with MapX and Oracle Spatial verify the spatial database realization mode.The application architecture of spatial database for municipal management is proposed by combining J2EE and Oracle Spatial, the database connected mode based on J2EE is analyzed, and the data access method of the system is determined. The project is proved to meet the spatial database for municipal management requirements on theory.
