The Research And Implementation Of A Simple Workflow Management System Based On J2EE

With the accelerated pace of development in information technology,without the support of the application software, more and more enterprises and government departments'day-to-day operations can't run normally. The industry-specific application systems development work has been inseparable from the support of workflow technology. Now workflow products tend to the size and functions of large and complex. However, the management information systems of some specific industry don't need such complex characteristics. They only need to support the basic requirements of their industry. They don't seek the perfection and complexity of the workflow engines. They only need to achieve their essential functions and features. To build a truly complex and flexible and extensible workflow management system, Workflow must be integrated into the development process to the development of information systems.According to the analysis of the requirements of prison management, A workflow management system that connected with the dynamic report template was proposed and the design and implementation of this work flow management system was given. It used the dynamic report system as it's modeling tools. According to the analysis, the abstract mathematical definition of the dynamic report model and the process of modeling were proposed. Design the system's architecture with B/S pattern joined with C/S pattern.Workflow engine is the core of workflow management system and a platform for the implementation of process model. This system's engine is designed based on J2EE platform and implemented by EJB technology. It's functions was divided into six"server module". The interfaces of every"server module"were given. A scheduler is responsible for scheduling engine corresponding service and returning the results.During the software development, our programmers and the staff of the prison cooperated with each other in order to fully understand the requirements of prison management. According to the trial in a prison, this system can meet the needs of the prison management perfectly and it increased the efficiency of the prison management greatly.
