| Digital TV has become the inevitable trend in the world, Nowadays, As the development of digital CATV(Community Antenna Television) in our country, the terminal equipment, set-top box(STB) is under great development, but the disunity of CA(Conditional Access) and difference of each area restrict the development of STB badly, so"CA separation"is the only way to popularize DTV. Therefore, this paper discusses on how to design and implement CA separation in current digital STB, and also how to use it in digital TV field.First of all, study on Digital TV STB CA separation solutions all over the world, including Euro DVB-CI standards, American POD technology, and two"Big Card"solutions and"Smart Card"solution in our country. And comparison is made between above several solutions at last.And then, the emphasis is the design and implementation of CA separation, including hardware design and software design. In the part of hardware design, firstly, UTI CA separation solution is chosen after considering the traits of 3 solutions in our country synthetically. Then, the circuit design and the configuration of address and bus timing based on TU-R8A01016FP, which is the interface chip of UTI CA separation solution, are described in detail. So the hardware system is finished. In the part of software design, the whole software system is introduced at first, then, the software system structure and composition are described in detail. At last, the method and approaches of application design on host (STB) are detailed through certain examples.Moreover, on the basis of the hardware circuit and software system of CA separation which are designed out, relevant applications of STB with UTI interface are discussed, such as the design of UTI Tuner card, MP3 player and picture browser based on USB removable memory equipment.At last, it is the debug part of system integration. The test items, test measures and tools and the performance test of the system are described, and the test result is analyzed. Furthermore, it explains the aspects waiting to be perfect. |
