Research Of The Laser Processing Motion Control Card Based On The DSP Technology

Motion control is a new technology of studying how to make precisely control on position and speed. In laser processing, motion control on electric motor is an important technology, which directly influences the quality of the laser processing product. So, the performance of the motion control card totally determines the performance of the whole system. As a series of advantages of the PCI bus have been noticed, it has been a practically standard in many fields. And also, as a new generation of processor, DSP has many advantages which the SCM can not match with. So it can meet with the real-time requirement of the motion control. In this situation, traditional motion control card based on ISA bus can not meet with the high-level requirement. So developing a practical, highly efficient, stable motion control card based on PCI bus and DSP technology is in urgent need.At first, this thesis introduces the laser processing and its newest fruit in brief, then it provides the hardware and software realization method of a kind of motion control card. The card is designed using PCI bus slave mode interface device (PCI9052) and motion control device (PCL6045B). The PCI9052 is designed to realize the PCI Bus Specification and can be connected directly to the local target. The PCL6045B has all kind of complex motion control function. All those features make for high performance and efficiency. Also, this thesis gives the circuits of the driver pulse output port, the controller pulse input port, etc. What's more, it does research in the electromagnetic compatibility as well as the kernel architecture of the Windows OS and the way of developing a WDM driver.This motion control card has high performance an efficiency, which meets the request of laser processing to some extent, by configure certain input and output port, and it has been confirmed in our laser processing system. At the same time, it can be used as general motion control card.
