Design And Implementation Of Topology Display In EPON Network Management System

With the rapid development of Internet services, it is growing demands of network bandwidth. EPON, with a high bandwidth, low cost, easy to use easy and upgrading of the fine characteristics is the best choice. The normal operations of any network can not be separated from a set of comprehensive network management software. EPON network is no exception. And topology display is an integral part in network management system. Good network topology map can directly show the network as a whole to reflect the organizational structure and operating conditions. Therefore, topology display technology for EPON network becomes particularly important.This paper mainly discusses the design and realization of topology display in EPON network management system. This paper goes to study topology display of Network Management System in the status quo. It has done a detailed study in EPON Network Management System, especially studying the interactive between topology display and other module of EPON Network Management System. It has matured analysis of the Integrated Network Management, in conjunction with the user's needs, determine the required network data objects. It then determines the logical data and does algorithm analysis according to the network data objects. Then it gives a detail design and implementation program of a topological display subsystem, including the design and implementation of Topology Layering Display, Topology Edit, Changing Background Map and Saving Topology. In the design and implementation of the Subsystems, this paper focuses on the monitoring equipment/port alarm and equipment/port state in topology map, the interfaces between topology display and other sub-module, topology layout algorithm and the application of XML technology in the topology display. In the end, it gives the actual operation environment and test results of the system.
