Train communication network (TCN) is the local distributing network for data communication on the train, which connects the programmable electronic train devices. It is the crossing and integration of the control, computer and communication technology. It's the future developing direction.This thesis deeply researched the WTB standard. The second section focused on the Network principle of TCN. The third section researched the communication principle of WTB. The fourth section gave out the general scheme of the project. The fifth section discussed the realization details and the difficulties in the design. At last the thesis gave out the system tests method and analyzed the result of the project.The project used the Top-to-down method. First the author analyzed the system function in detail. Second the thesis used the Cyclone FPGA of Altera to realized the IC core of the WTB. Then divided the module of the system. At last the author designed the system clock in advance to assure the robust of the system.In the project the author proposed the concept of the noise window. The thesis realized the clear switch in the link layer. The author used the internal FIFO of FPGA to solve the consistency problem of the data writing to or reading from the shared Memory between the FPGA and the CPU.At last the project used the Modelsim to make functional simulation, used Qusrtusâ…ˇto do timing simulation. The thesis developed the united system platform to simulate the real condition of the TCN to test the design.The project has very important meanings. It is the first time the Chinese realize the WTB core IC controller. It will be very useful in the future.
