Studies Of A Change Method Based On ECA Rules In Dynamic Workflow

Workflow technology is one of the technologies developed most rapidly in the fields of computer integrated manufacturing in recent years. And at present it is also a focused research in the field of IT. At the same time, as the key technology of process management and process control in the modern enterprises, workflow technology provides the whole framework including model analysis, model construction, model management and model running. However, with the development of actual application of the workflow technology, people find out that the workflow products cannot support the dynamic change of business demands, in other words, the workflow system is lack of agility and adaptation. So now how to develop the dynamic adaptation and flexibility of the workflow has become the hot spot and difficult spot in the research of the workflow.This paper discusses how to present an approach to handle changes in dynamic workflow system. Firstly it introduces the architecture of workflow management system, typical model and modeling method based on ECA rules. It analyses intrinsic substance and external appearance of dynamic workflow model, and makes a definition of dynamic workflow model, and discusses the controlling method of model. Based on all these works, we study the theory and implement of dynamic change in dynamic workflow. Dynamic change operating set includes five types of model elements: workflow process activity, transfer information, global data, local data, define data. For these model elements,three change operation are allowed: add model element, modify attribution information, delete model element. According to the different object, dynamic change has two types: changing process definition,changing process instance.To solve the problem of the workflow correctness and consistency, dynamic change is done on two aspects of control flow and data flow according to control association and data association, so that the correctness and validity of dynamic change are pledged. At last, we present a method of an improved algorithms of migrated edition, which includes an efficient change handling algorithms that will incorporate certain modifications that must be made in the current workflow instance, and provides a workflow case to validate our algorithms.The research of this paper will promote the research of the change theory and the realization of dynamic workflow .
