The Research And Application On Dynamic Adaptive Workflow Technology

Dynamic changes of business environments requires workflow management systems supporting dynamic workflow changes durning the excution of workflow. How to improve the dynamic adaptation of workflow is an important research aspect of workflow technology.This paper mainly discuss the problem of the adaptation of workflow at level of process and resources, which is how to deal with the dynamic changes of business process and resources during the excution of workflow.Firstly, we proposed a workflow model that supports the dynamic changes and set up a correctness restriction of workflow process. This model set out how to support dynamic changes from four sub-model of it according to the extent that the dynamic changes influence the excution of workflow.Secondly, we proposed a method that can build up transfer rules of each node in old workflow model automatically according to the partial sequence of modified nodes and the excution path of workflow.Thirdly, we have solved the problem that the semantic of workflow is uncertain at the workflow modeling stage by the AI planning technology. We also proposed an algorithm of workflow planning that can build partial sequence of task which can reach the goal according to the sematic in task database. Workflow System can complete the excution of workflow only to explain and excute the sequence of task that the planning machine produce.Finally, based the methods that deals with the varied changes from the four aspects of workflow model,we have designed and implemented a workflow prototype system that support dynamic adaptive workflow.
