So long time,there are many questions in vehicles'traditional design methods,for example,long design cycles,repeatedly design,poor design precision and so on.The application of traditional multi-rigid body systems dynamics analysis method can't obtain the correct results in design and dynamics analysis.Because the vehicles are complex system,various parts'material and flexible structure,complicated load,the driver,the vehicle and the environment and so on.Many kinds of factors influence the dynamic property.Analyzing the dynamic performance of vehicles,test is the most effective and direct way,but only afterproduced vehicle and there are many risks such as high cost,long cycle in producing vehicle.In order to reduce the risk of vehicles in development produce,it is very necessary using a digital prototype of the vehicle to simulate,and optimize of its parameters.The technology of virtual prototyping is an importantway to shorten the vehicle development cycle,reduce development costs and improve the quality of product design and manufacture.System dynamics simulation is a virtual prototype of the digital core and key technologies.Simulation analysis can be repeated on the computer for a variety of design optimization for fast comparison and experimental conditions instead of outside analysis of theharsh working conditions,so the method is used increasingly.The rigid part of system dynamics,both the modeling,or numerical simulation,has been done quite perfect,but flexible multi-body system has been studied nearly.Flexible body completely different from the rigid body,there has not a lot of rigid body dynamics problems.Vehicle is a system consisting of a number of very complex vibration systems.How to create a more comprehensivedescription of the dynamic characteristics is the key method to analyses the vibration of differential equations of the simulation model.Predecessor has done a lot of simplification,much of its freedom to establish the actual vehicle,it is difficult to accurately reflect the comprehensive transmission of vibration of the human body,and we must consider the impact of flexible deformation.To forecast vehicle vibration response,we often combine the finite elementand multi-body system dynamics method.To improve the accuracy of the calculation,we usually use combining flexible frame components and the rigid chassis components.In this paper,combined with the subject of China FAW GroupR&C,"The technology to improve Light duty Vehicle vibration and noise,"(item code:0714),based on relevant theory,use the finite element method and multi-body system dynamics,to build multi-body dynamics model to simulate andto research.According to the subject need use the Altair's Hypermesh softwareand Patran,Nastran and ADAMS of MSC companies.Considering the frame's specific structural characteristics,in Hypermesh to create a finite element modelof the frame and use its interface technology translating the model to Patran.use of Nastran Modal software calculates and generates modal neutral file,thentranslate modal neutral file to ADAMS and couple with other parts of the vehicle rigid body to build rigid-flexible hybrid vehicle model.This paper systematically expounds the use of finite element method and multi-body system dynamics method to establish the frame system,flexible multi-body dynamic modelof the theoretical basis,application methods and mechanical models,for in-depthstudy of these problems and provide a feasible solution research tools and datareference. It's very necessary using CAE and virtual prototyping technology in the vehicle development process,and virtual analysis in the entire research work in the virtual design to reduce the product development process,reduce developmentcosts and workload,shorten development time,speed up the development cycle,and improve the quality of research and development of automotive products.And it has very important practical significance.
