| The 21st century is the era of knowledge economy. The competition on market will displayin talents' competition. Development in science and technic regards education as foundation, and how to make our education system meet era's demands is an important subject.With the swift and violent development of computer technology, a lot of organizations and departments have progressively realized the business information management computerization. Meanwhile, network education depending on the modern computer network technology with its advantages of opening, flexibility, popularization, limitless by space and time etc., offers chance to anyone, in anytime, anywhere (3A) to receive and participate in education.lt is becoming the effective supplementary means of contemporary education and moving to maturity.The implementation of network education is a systemic project, among them, network is the foundation, resources building is the core, teaching application is the purpose, and management of education is the guarantee. The foundation of every university has been basically possessed at present, so the focal point should be put in the construction of education resource. However, because the business and function of each department are different, they build a lot of isolating information services and management systems according to the needs of themselves; even the network environment inside a unit is made up of different platforms, not adheres to any platform. Every unit is a heterogeneous data source, and the information and organization between them are different. Therefore, with time and technic progress, in fact they've formed detached islands of information resources among websites, including such reasons as heterogeneous platforms, information isolating and not unified standards. So there are questions on exchanging data and intercooperating between each department. The repetition of education resources building has caused resources wasted greatly, such as manpower, material etc. It has violated the greatest advantage of network - resource-sharing. So, regarding Internet as the centre, stepping platform heterogeneous and loose coupling network resource-sharing system structure become the major direction of network technical research, and Web Service based on XML becomes the focus of this kind of technical research direction. The main work of this article is following:(1) Analyze to the current situation of network education, and the isolation of network education resources and the interoperation of heterogeneous platform are their main defect and deficiency existing.(2) Introduce the basic fundamentals and standard framework of XML and Web Service, including mainly: XML, SOAP, WSDL and UDDI etc., put forward the thought of combining XML and network education together, and introduce the technological framework of network service based on XML Web Service to the network education system through analyzing the feasibility of this thought; realize stepping the platform, heterogeneous network teaching service and resource-sharing that constructs on the basis of existing educational platform of network.(3) Combining network education field and technological framework standard of Web Service, this text has carried on pointed improvement on the basis of UDDI: Have designed and realized new registration centre - EUDDI for network education services, set up and realized information model of EUDDI with education entity information, education services etc., and has set up the educational authoritative exponent model of education reflecting the authority and scientific research position of the educational organization. This register centre is suitable for the registration and publishing of network education services with simple structure, and it can integrate with common UDDI.(4) Because the stepping platform and heterogeneous character of XML and Web Service have offered the strong basic condition for network education resource-sharing on our existing resource and teaching services integrated, so this tex...
