Nowadays, the information has become world-wide sharing the resources but the profound influence humanity's progress, the information revolution is causing the people knowledge acquisition and the experience way is having the significant change, along with correspondence flourishing more and more daily, set the more and more high request to the communications system capacity, The soliton correspondence can provide the extremely high transmission speed, it has the conformal transmission the characteristic, can transmit the extremely long distance but not to have the deformation, its transmission capacity outdoes 1-2 magnitudes compared to now the best communications system, the relaying distance may amount to hundred kilometers, therefore the soliton correspondence very quickly becomes the research hot spot. The ultrafast actively mode-locked fiber laser because may produce the ultrafast soliton pulse, it will be the ideal light source of the future long-distance does not have the relaying optical fiber communications system. But, has not obtained the complete solution throughout about the ultrafast actively mode-locked fiber laser stable technical difficult problem, causes the ultrafast actively mode-locked fiber laser to move towards the practical application also to have section of distances. One of actively mode-locked fiber laser steady work prerequisites is the modulation signal frequency characteristic for the cavity in the vertical mold gap integral multiple. Therefore, the theory and experiments study on fiber length's control by PZT have the vital scientific significance and the application value.The present paper main work is unifies the country natural sciences fund (No.60372061) the project "The study on the real-selfstart and stability of the ultrafast actively mode-locked fiber laser " Jilin Province science development plan project "The study on the mode control and stability of the ultrafast actively mode-locked fiber laser ". Mainly has conducted the fundamental research and to the actively mode-locked fiber laser long compensates the technology in this foundation to the actively mode-locked fiber laser cavity to conduct the thorough research. We completed a PZT driver circuit with good dynamic response, it is applied for the cavity compensation, built the light coherent experiment system based on Mach-Zehnder interferometer theory, as well as built the differentiating Sagnac interferometer. These experiments and the analysis have the important guild to the actively mode-locked fiber laser practical application.The present paper mainly includes following several contents:1. Actively mode-locked fiber laser in optical communication system application. And fiber length's control by PZT apply to the actively mode-locked fiber laser.2. Expatiated the theory of PZT, and completed a PZT driver. This PZT driver circuit had good dynamic response characteristic to the irregular signal, the response band width, the speed is quick, suits apply for the cavity compensation of actively mode-locked fiber laser system.3. We finished building the differentiating Sagnac interferometer system. In the experiments the results showed the fiber wounded on the PZT can response the driver signals timely and linearly. The method can actualize easily and rebuild well.
