Research And Design Of Network Learning System Based On RIE Model

Education is the motivity of society development while the Internet is new energy of society progress. With the development of Network Technology and prevalence of Network, Network Education becomes the perfect combination of both. Network Education becomes a hot spot of Education while also a blooming astonish in modern education. Network Education System is the Technology basis of Network Education and it plays a more and more important role in modern construction of higher education.Recently, many universities no matter national or abroad are researching and developing Education System based on Network such as Network Courses System, Education Website, Self-training CAI education software, On-line Examination System etc.. But above systems are sigle-functioned since they only realize some scenario of Teaching and Learning activity and lack both support to Education process and Management of On-line learning. They also can't incarnate internal relationship of Education activity. So neither can they satisfy the demand of education. Starting from internal relationship of education activity, designing and developing network education system, carrying out education activity using network education system, letting students not limited by time and place, letting students watch education resources on-line anytime anywhere, organising discussion and research, instructing co-learning, attending interaction extensively, exploring knowledge on own initiative, degusting success and delightness of learning, fully incarnating education mind based on leadership of teacher and main body of students, accelerating innovation of education method and mode become attention hot spot of the design of network education system.Network education is a wholely new modern education mode. Evaluation of network education is the key section of the chain of network education and also an important solution to assure the quality of network education. The multiple different evaluatio criterion and evaluation methods created in the long practice of traditional education can't totally fit fresh network education mode. Network education not only has evaluation, progress evaluation and reference criterion which the traditional education evaluation has but also has markable characters such as focus on process evaluation, has extensive evaluation objects, choose the suitable model for the evaluation of network education and combine quantitative evaluation and quality evaluation because network media has many fresh elements including highly interactive, self-learning and distributed in both temporal and space. The design of Network education system should construct effective evaluation mechanism which includes learning situation and education evaluation of students. Evaluation should be according to objective education aims and also should include overall evaluation of learning tasks and evaluation of students' participation. The target of these evaluations is help teachers to realize their lack in time and then constantly progress and search for development while provide students with effective inspection of learning effects.The paper starts from corresponding theories of network education and constructs RIE model based on network education methods according to the character of network education method. Furthermore, the paper also designs all modules of network education system according to the model.The paper describes development trend and research hot spot of network education system, analyzes problems and their reason existing in current network education system and proposes RIE model of network education system. The proposal of RIE model provide design and construction of network education system with clear structure and theory support and also provides basis for evaluation on students. Then the paper advances design thinking of network education system which is using RIE model as framework: i.e. realize effective management of network education resources, in a timely and effective interaction and communication between students and teachers, let teachers to take effective control on the learning process of students and finally get the feedback - score of students through network education system. The next is discussion on detail design and specific implementation of important function modules of system. In the last, the paper advances the direction of further progress of theory research and practical development.The system is a universal education system based on B/S model and its aim is promote the effectiveness of management and resources share. The system composes of resources module, intercommunication module and evaluation module. The feature of the research in the paper is using usage of education resources by learners in network education system and the situation of intercommunication, interaction and cooperation with teacher and other learners as the basis of process evaluation.
