Research On CMM-based Quality Management For Software Development

Software quality is a very significant aspect during software development lifecycle and represents the final results of various development skills and validation methods in software development process. So in order to ensure software quality, it is very effective to bring forward a kind of quality management model based on various quality management methods.The paper offers a series of creative software quality management mode based on CMM and its KPA-related specific activities by analyzing the insufficiency of traditional quality mode in process management and quantitative management. The main contents include:(1) Study quality management and related KPA, master various basic tools and models frequently used in quality management process, make clear the relationship between quality management and related KPA.(2) Illustrate the function of SQA in project process management as well as the specific implementation and results in projects. And describe SQA's work at every development phase following the software development flow.(3) For the insufficiency of quality management in measurement and data analysis, the paper illustrates the quantitative methods and flow of progress, defects, risks, cost and SQA based on QPM & SQM KPAs, and finally offers a kind of measurement-based quality management mode.(4) Illustrate the difference between CMM-based software quality management methods and traditional methods, and study the actual application of CMM-based quality management methods.This kind of quality management mode focuses on measurement analysis, achieves better process monitor and management, and makes the development process more stable.
