In the past decades, learning machines based on SCM have become the core components of the schools'electronic teaching equipments. The popularization of teaching equipments makes the teaching environment more favorable and efficient to enhance the students'interests and to improve the quality of their study. The paper has put forward a scheme, which is based on double-core MCS-51 SCM, to meet the needs of training typing skills by learning terminals in the field of vocational education. It reduces the cost of the PC machine; meantime students could effectively improve their typing skills. The paper discusses the necessity and advantages of this dual-51 MCU framework, where the LCD module, the keyboard module, ROM module, RAM module and wireless module are articulated on the bus. Also it gives a detailed description of communication between the master and slave CPU based on PS/2 keyboard. Furthermore, the program codes of the whole system are put in the master CPU chip space and the Nand Flash space. After its start-up, the system reads the program codes from different storage areas according to the bus model, after then the CPU drives each module to display information. In addition, the system can achieve the transmission of documents and messages in an end-to-end communication mode. As for the complex software parts, the paper focuses on the transplant ofμC/OS-II to the 51 SCM system, as well as the implementation of its corresponding drive modules.Through the research and analysis in this paper,a system can be built into an embedded learning terminal based on dual-core 51 SCM, where the LCD, RAM, Nand Flash, Nor Flash, the standard keyboard and the nRF2401 wireless modules are articulated on the same bus. By usingμC/OS-II, the stability and efficiency of the system have been markedly improved, which provide an excellent software platform for the future development of other modules.
