With the implementation and utilization of China Next Generation Internet (CNGI) and3G communications network based on IPv6 protocol, Internet has become wide-banded,wireless and mobile. Network consisting of multiple IP devices has the tendency toroam together. Meanwhile, terminals which have the support for two or three accesstechnologies are appearing. This opens the possibility of using multiple access typessimultaneously, with each access used to transport the traffic for which it is mostappropriate. So it's necessary and important to focus on multiple access of mobilenetwork.Network Mobility (NEMO) protocol proposed by IETF basically supports handoffs forIPv6 mobile network. However, this protocol do not today provide standardized supportfor simultaneous differentiated use of multiple access technologies, because NEMOallows mobile router to register to its HA with only one care-of address. This paper mainly focuses on implementation and tests of NEMO multiple care-ofaddresses registration. Firstly, the background of NEMO is summarized, and its researchactualities and issues are also reviewed.Secondly, the principles and mechanisms of NEMO multiple care-of addressesregistration are analyzed in detail, then the software architecture is proposed accordingto RFC3963 and draft-ietf-monami6-multiplecoa-02, which is divided into severalmodules in kernel and user space, and the realization of each important module isdescribed detailedly, and this protocol software is realized on the Linux 2.6.8 kernelplatform. Finally, the test environment is set up for this software, the test method and process arealso involved, and it is concluded that this software has fundamental functions ofNEMO multiple care-of addresses registration.
