MANEMO technique combines NEMO with MANET, and is an effective solution to the routing optimization in nested NEMO, which is drawing more and more attention, especially in vehicle-to-vehicle communication. Meanwhile, with the development and application of wireless access and broadband transmission techniques, many studies begin to focus on the integration of multiple interfaces, which forms a multi-interface network. At present, the wireless network has some defects itself, such as scarcity of bandwidth, frequent link failures and limited coverage. For this reasons, MANEMO cannot satisfy the requirements for mobility in current network. This thesis has made an in-depth study to the characteristics, working principles, protocols and implementations in MANEMO. To improve the reliability of Internet connections and the capabilities of flow distribution for MANEMO nodes, this thesis has studied and designed a theme for visited node multi-homing access. In the procedure of system implementation, the MANEMO extended design is made in prototype source code and protocols and the system is simulated and tested in NS2.The thesis reviews the present research situation and existing problems of MANEMO. The characteristics of MANEMO itself and the MANEMO key techniques, such as NEMO and MANET, are analyzed. The routing optimization problem in nested NEMO and the OLSR routing protocol in MANET are also researched and discussed in depth. On the basis of thorough research to MANEMO and the detailed analysis to lots of source code, the thesis has illustrated multiple care-of address registration technique and discussed its implementation flow in MANEMO. In NS2 simulation program, the extended design is made for source code relative to multiple care-of address registration in NEMO module and the multi-homing access methods are employed when failure occurs in a registed path. In the end, the thesis has discussed the implementation of flow distribution strategy using multi-homing access. The thesis has made simulation and tests to MANEMO multi-homing access system and verified its functions. The analysis to the test results indicates that the theme of multi-homing access and flow distribution in MANEMO is feasible.
