Data acquisition and storage systems have a wide range of applications in many fields such as communication, meteorology and radar. As the developing of science and information technology in these fields and the increase of the rate of data acquisition and transmission, data storage systems of high-speed and large capacity have been increasingly focused. Data storage involves lots of key technologies such as storage medium controlling, computer bus ruling and driver programming, with many critical issues such as high-speed, real-time and continuation. This paper introduces a scheme of high-speed data storage system based on Field Programmable Gate Array, FPGA. IDE hard disks which are compatible with ATA-6 and RAID0 are chose as the system storage medium. 128 MB SDRAM memory on board is also used to for high-speed, stable data storage. Equipping with five IDE hard disks, the data storage average rate can achieve to 250MB/s, peaking at 500MB/s. The system can extend the storage capacity greatly by using more IDE hard disks. Four channels of AD data can be store simultaneously.Based on the analysis of PCI-bridge, PCI-9054, the operations of the entire storage system on computer is presented, which is equipped with a PCI card.
