In the progress of WLAN productions apply to the market, equipment venders provide a variety of network architecture solutions. Traditional WLAN architectures to the core of AP expose serious problems in management, security, mobility, especially in the big enterprise environment. All these problems perfectly solved in Centralized WLAN Architecture. So, it is significant to realize an effective Centralized WLAN Architecture program.In this paper, we analyze current WLAN architecture solutions and some wireless access controllers provided by different venders. These products have outstanding problems in AC performance, products universal property between different venders, WLAN description, and miscellaneous designs in multi-module. To solve these problems, this paper proposes WX6103+WA2100 architecture. This is a Centralized WLAN Architecture, using WX6103 as access controller and WA2100 as access point. The communication between WX6103 and WA2100 is under LWAPP protocol. We design a more flexible WLAN description on WX6103, and adopt a tree organization to load every module. This design effectively solves problems in current WLAN productions.Meanwhile, for information security and QoS policy application problems in current WLAN application, Two business module implementations are proposed in this paper: (1) WX6103 Supports WAPI Encryption and Decryption. This project aims at realizing WAPI encryption and decryption on access controller, which could simplify the AP implementation and improve the security of data communication in the network. (2) QoS User-Profile. This project accomplishes user based QoS policy application on WX6103. This scheme could realize centralized management for users' business on user management server. Under the cooperation of WX6103 and user management server, it can realize centralized management for WLAN user access.The design is successfully applied on WX6103. Test results and analysis are given in this paper.
