Along with the rapid development of wireless LAN technology, gathering information by the way of wireless LAN is becoming more and more common. There are not many 802.11n series products with WAPI supported on the market and the products are immature. So there are great market potential of developmenting wireless access points which both support WAPI and 802.11n.According to China's autonomous wireless standards WAPI, The subject uses Linux network driver development technology, accomplishes the design and implementation of the wireless module based on Atheros 802.11n wireless driver. Then I complete the entire product together with other members in the project, make the product supporting WAPI standards. This thesis first introduces the research and development status, related technologies of WLAN,AP and WAPI standards, then analyzes the needs of the whole system and related modules,?Through the reserch and analysis of modules in the system and characteristics of WAPI subsystem, reference to the design of 802.11i security protocols, this thesis accomplishes the architecture design of the whole system and wireless driver module.Based on the reserch and analysis of process of receive and tranmit packet, presents the design and implementation of WAPI part in the wireless driver module in detail from aspects of WPI and WAI process.Ultimately through module test and overall test make the performance, security etc. of the wireless access point reached a high requirement. The 802.11n series products which supported WAPI standards completed in this subject have already been put into market, and perform well in the tender of big operators and get good responses in actual use.
