At present, the active vibration control is a main research direction of large-scale flexible structure vibration control. One of its important questions is to determine the number and the position of sensors and actuators, by least numbers and best position to realize the control goal. But, in vibration initiative control, the actuators that are fixed in unsuitable position may cause one or some mode law driving, while the sensors that are fixed in unsuitable position may affect identification Precision of parameters. Then it will cause immediate impact on the functions of closed loop control system and even its stability. The sensors and actuators need some costs. And the cost of the data acquisition and processing equipments for sensor and the drive sets for actuator are too expensive. In spite of economics, it is hope that the using of sensors and actuators is as little as possible. Therefore it there are very important practical value and study significance to determine the optimal number of actuators and sensors and configure them at the optimal place.The article take the bracket of cantilever beam vibrating system as the object of study, using the piezoelectric effect of the piezoelectricity material, to analyze the mutual coupling relations between piezoelectric actuators/sensors and the bracket of cantilever, deduce the equation of their mutual coupling and establish the topological optimization model of the numbers and place of actuators and sensors. On that basis, take the system smallest energy as the optimization objective function, apply the thought of topological optimization of structure, put out the method of topological optimization algorithm and write the program of topological optimization .And combine the practical model to optimize the numbers and position of actuators and sensors.Finally, it confirms that this method is correct by an actual example.
