With the rapid development of aerospace industry, the use of large flexiblestructure is increasing. For the low frequency vibration of the large flexible structure,the traditional passive control methods can not achieve satisfactory results, but theactive vibration control has many unique advantages, such as fast response, theadaptive ability, high control precision and so on, and it is now becoming theresearch focus of vibration control field. The combination of piezoelectricintelligence materials and active vibration control, makes the active control ofstructure vibration have more superiority.At present, most of the studies on vibration active control of the piezoelectricintelligence structure are theory and simulation research, and the hardware researchon this field, which has the practical application value, appears few in articles. Inthis paper, use a cantilever beam as a model with piezoelectric polymer (PVDF) filmas sensors and actuators, choose the TI’s DSP TMS320F28335as the core device ofcontrol system, and conduct the experimental study of piezoelectric intelligencestructure vibration control.This paper introduce the applications of piezoelectric intelligence structure invibration control field, then summarize the current research directions and the maincontrol methods of the piezoelectric intelligence structure vibration active control.Analysis the basic characteristics of piezoelectric and cantilever beam, get thefunctions of cantilever beam and the sensor/actuator equation. Analysis the theory ofadaptive filter based on the LMS algorithm, and research on the improved form ofthe LMS algorithm further, so called NLMS algorithm and then get the procedure ofadaptive feedforward cancellation control algorithm base on NLMS algorithm. Carryout the modal analysis of cantilever beam and simulate the control of the first twovibration modes in MATLAB environment. Finally, use the TMS320F28335DSP asthe core device, and build the hardware platform of the piezoelectric cantilever beamvibration control experiment system, complete software program and debug thehardware platform to realize the two input two output distributed controlexperimental study of cantilever beam vibration. Through the analysis of experimentresults to verify the feasibility of the system.
