With the development of space technology, large space structure has been widely used in the field of aerospace as the focus of the study of space technology. However, the modal frequency of the existing large space structure is relatively low in general and the damping is always small, so if there is a disturbance outside, the vibration will last a very long time. Large space structures are always distributed parameter systems, we call these the high-controlled systems, this kind of system has many vibration modes, when we design the controller based on a reduced order model in these high-controlled system will result in spillover and make the closed-loop system stability margin smaller.The vibration of the manipulator that is large and flexible is inevitable for the the nonlinear and parameter uncertainties of the structure. The objective of this paper is to investigate optimal placement of collocated PZT sensor/actuator and active vibration control for flexible manipulator by using fuzzy logic control algorithms and then fuzzy algorithms are proposed for vibration control of flexible beam and the dual-mode controller, by combining Fuzzy and PI, is taken to suppress the low amplitude vibration near the equilibrium significantly. Finally, the effects of a simple fuzzy controller and the dual-mode controller, by combining Fuzzy and PI for the low amplitude vibration has been compared .The simulation experiment results show that: Fuzzy PID control is robust and effective.
