In modern industrial production, control and scientific research, the collection, transmission and processing of the live data have become a necessary component. Usually, in the process of data acquisition application, in order to facilitate the subsequent data processing and analysis as well as to archive, sending collected data to the storage medium in real-time is really essential. IDE hard disk, with the advantages of huge data storage capacity, high degree of intelligent interface and convenient control, is more suitable for the data acquisition system as a storage medium. When the sampling rate is not too high and the trade unions are small, it is no problem to achieve this; however, when the sampling rate is high and there are more trade unions, high-speed data storage becomes quite difficult.The high-speed data storage technology based on the IDE hard drive is discussed: the structure of the hard drive, the factors influencing the hard disk storage rate, IDE hard drive interface, as well as FAT32 file format; hardware architecture of the Data Acquisition System, including the power supply, data Acquisition, data cache and data storage, are introduced; some part of the data is also presented to FAT32 format of the hard disk storage, and the assembly language programming of achieving FAT32 format data to the hard disk storage is given.The data acquisition system can simultaneously work on 12-channel analog signal parallel acquisition at a higher storage rate. It has the advantages of large storage capacity, high-speed storage, and the data format easy to facilitate following processing. Its application has a good prospect.
