The new system, high-performance detection of radar and electronic-systems, makes radar signal and data processing more complicated. In these systems development and validation phase, the urgent need is a high resolution, real-time data acquision equipment, which can be used to record the original detect signals with High definition, and the recording signals can be used to analysis and research to validate and improve various data and signal processing algorithms of new style radar and modern electronic-systems. To meet the broadband Radar echo or radiation signal accuracy, large dynamic, high-speed acquisition and real-time record of the request, the device must be able to continue for a long time records measured by the output of the radar echo, or sources of information.This article on the actual needs of the project, mainly to the growing development of computer technology, breakthrough data collection and data storage performance bottleneck, and use SATA hard drive as a bulk storage medium, use multiple hard constitute array for concurrent read or write to implement high-speed, and implement SATA disk controller on FPGA fabric to bypass the operating system overhead and read or write hard disk directly and efficiently, and build high-speed real-time bulk radar data capture and playback devices finally. The acquisition of equipment provides a real and effective test data for the radar signal processing and data processing algorithms simulation in the early and late algorithm. And also provides an effective tools and instruments to carry out radar echo characteristics of research, testing and analysis of the dynamic performance of radar and radar signal processing new algorithms. At the same time, this acquisition device with high speed, massive access nature, to meet the next few years a number of new radar research and development and the needs of various field test.This article from system architecture, FPGA features logic, hardware boards, acquisition and storage control software and other technical angle, introduces the design method of implementation of high-speed SATA disk array mass data storage system. And solves how to implements SATA disk controller based on FPGA fabric, how to use multiple disk array controller to implementing high-speed read-write, how to used high speed and mass cache to realize high speed data throughputs, and completed a remote high-speed efficient fiber transport protocol.Finally, on the Actual test board, the testing results show that the SATA disk array data acquisition system can achieve data flow speed of 200MB/s of high-speed radar signal data acquisition and continuous high-speed large-capacity storage, and meets the design target.
