With the advancement of the knowledge of underwater acoustics physics , the development of signal processing methods and the improvement of the ability of wireless communication system, especially the fast increase of the capability of hardware, such as DSP,FPGA,DGPS and DSSS technology, applications of the targets location system ,wireless acoustics integrated ,and surface-underwater fused, are widely prevalent. The passive acoustic underwater target location system uses the buoys equipped with GPS to compose the main body of the system. By the usage of the sound radiated from the underwater target, the buoys transit their result to the master computer to integrate, compute and finally display the trajectory of the target.Wireless underwater acoustic buoy ,as the detection and communication node of the passive fast target location systems, is characterized by its easy deployment,wide covering area and excellent adaptability. The tasks of the buoy include reliant receiving, conditioning, sampling, storage, transition, processing and communication of the signal. it is the determinant of the whole system. In this dissertation the basic theory of underwater fast target locating system is briefly introduced, the main function of wireless acoustic buoy is analyzed. Therefore, the main work of the dissertation is around the hardware system of buoy platform, which includes:1. The design of communication interface of buoy. It covers the DSSS module interface , DGPS module interface and the realization of electrical energy logic control.2. The design and test of signal condition module composed of 4 main part, hydrophone, vector hydrophone, depth sensor and bear-attitude indicator. Furthermore, the influence and calibration of channel consistency are also analyzed and tested in this dissertation.3. The design of underwater acoustic signal processing hardware contains the core DSP chip part and the realization of the function of periphery chips.The scheme of this buoy platform hardware has experienced the surface debug. Moreover, it has suffered the test of lake trial. These results show that the design of buoy hardware, as the main part of underwater target passive location system to measure and display the trajectory of target, has meet the anticipated specification. Thus, the robustness of the design testifies has been testified.
