The handling system is the interface between the processes of purchase, storage, sorting, distribution processing and distribution, etc. in logistics center. It is the key part in the realization of logistics services and operation of the entire logistic system. The characteristics of large variety and small quantities of the rapidly developing modern logistics center strengthen the need for efficiency, flexibility and so on of the handling system. However, at present, the handling system is not paid sufficient attention in most of the real logistic center. And most of the handling systems are arranged at the base of experience, lack of scientific planning and design. As a result, low efficiency, high cost, the equipment is not available when busy or idle in normal days and some other matters happen in the logistic center. Existing research about the handling system is not deep, and the data which can be used in the real project is litter. So the setting of handling system of logistic center, which is now hot in China, can not be guided and regulated effectively.Based on the above background, the design of handling system inside logistic center is studied in detail in this thesis. Combined with an example of plans in a logistic center, at the base of its existing data of the whole planning, the handling system is designed. And it is evaluated through a comprehension method, including the technical and economic evaluation. Then a superior program can be achieved. And a kind of software aiding the design of the handling system is developed. So the design of handling system becomes simpler, in procedure, standardized, and visualized. This can do a good help to guiding and learning in the design of handling system of logistic center.This thesis is divided into 5 chapters. At first, the related concept about the handling system of logistic center is introduced Then surrounding the development of the software aiding the design of handling system of logistic center, research of the design theory, the method of evaluation, development of software and simulation, are introduced separately in 3 parts. At last, through a real example of logistic center, themethod is validated effectively.
