SMT(Surface Mount Technology) has been developing continually heading forthinness, micromation and high precision, and it has been a bottleneck for manufactureof PCB(Printed Circuit Board) Board Level Circuit Module in how to exert theproduction capacity to the farthest extent, enhance the product eligibility and upgradethe production efficiency. So the manufacturability analysis of PCB componentsbecomes the key of shortening the time of development and economizing the cost.Aiming at the PCB(Printed Circuit Board) designed by EDA(Electronic DesignAutomation) software, DFM(Design For Manufacture) program of SMT(SurfaceMount Technology) applied in PCB and the simulation of machining process oncomputers are studied in this paper. This paper designs a data interface of EDAsoftware with different configuration, and presents in detail the distillation andconversion of EDA software including innovative analysis of OrCAD format andstructure of simulation file, taking OrCAD as an example, and then summarizes a suitof DFM criterion according with practical project operation and PCB module design,and depicts it focused on the component and pad criterion. Finally, the paperestablishes a practical simulation environment of manufacturability, implementsdynamic simulation of SMT, so that user can achieve analysis result and errors prompt.On-line test demonstrates that the system reaches the satisfactory effects inadaptability and expansibility, and superiority of manufacturing data distillation,conversion and simulation. It can be used for reference in shorting preparative timebefore manufacturing, improving multivariate manufacturing capability and reducingthe development cycle of new products cost.DFM analysis and simulation system now can deal with design data of five EDAsoftwares including OrCAD with different configuration. If the system could be donewith more mount optimization according with practical manufacturing operation, itwould enhance robusticity and practicability of system, and this will be the key pointof further research later.
